MIKEs DAILY PODCAST the Country Music Show 3/9/14

MIKE's DAILY PODCAST effizode 650

So on today's show I accidentally mix Chris Christie's name with Jim Christie.  Who's Jim Christie?  Jim is the former drummer fot Country artists Sara Evans and Dwight Yoakam and is the nicest guy.  I used to see him all the time when I lived in Downtown Ventura.  I saw him play for several local bands as well as for Dwight and he was amazing!  I think he drums for Lucinda Williams now.  I wish HE was running for president!

Today we hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley, PLUS it's the return of the feature NEWS RANDOM where we look at some really interesting recent news and then very special surprise from former guest of the show NIKKI ENGLISH and a new song from her Country band WESTERN AVENUE (well, it's just her and her husband KEITH ROBERTSON but they are in that particular band).

Tomorrow it's the return of the feature MASTERPOD THEATER, plus we'll hear from Chely Shoehart, Floyd the Floorman, and John Deer the Engineer!

MIKEs DAILY PODCAST the Music Show 3/3/14

MIKE's DAILY PODCAST effizode 649

The Walking Dead.  Who gives a crap?  I know that's how people feel when I talk about the greatest show of all time Doctor Who!  Or maybe not.  Both shows deal with action and tension and sci-fi and have an overarching story arc.  Oh, and by the way, I never watch Game of Thrones, either.  Gasp!  Sacrilege!  Am I really alive if I'm not watching those shows?  Maybe I'm just a door knob.  So sad.

Today we hear from Benita, the Disgruntled Fiddle Player, and the Brewmaster, PLUS it's the FINALE of my INTO AN INTERVIEW with singer/songwriter Robby Cronholm of the band TAXES!

Tomorrow we'll have the return of the feature NEWS RANDOM, plus we'll hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley.

MIKEs DAILY PODCAST the Music Show 3/1/14

MIKE's DAILY PODCAST effizode 647

The Oscars are tomorrow.  Oh, Oscars.  A bunch of trash cans with monsters living in them.  And we give those trash cans to deserving actors.  Then those actors become cash cows to their agents.  Then we all run as fast as we can away from Hollywood because it's so f#^+d up!  Wondrous.  Oh, and why couldn't I remember Elisabeth Hasslebeck's name?  Maybe that's a good thing.

Today we hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley, PLUS the FINALE of my INTO AN INTERVIEW with singer/songwriter DANIEL G. HARMANN formerly of band The Trouble Starts.

Tomorrow we bring you a new INTO AN INTERVIEW with the singer/songwriter of the band TAXES, Robby Cronholm!  Plus we'll hear from Chely Shoehart, Floyd the Floorman, and John Deer the Engineer!
